The past several years I've been a real Scrooge about Christmas decorating. We aren't home much to enjoy the decorations, I hate taking decorations down, we don't entertain, the decorations are all in boxes in the basement....I used every excuse not to decorate.

About three years ago Tami started hosting a Christmas craft party. She always puts out tempting crafting supplies and that inspired me to start making a few ornaments.
This year, when I combined the things that I'd made at Tami's along with a few of Karla's famous Christmas trees, I had enough to decorate my fireplace mantel. The decorated box was this year's project. Most of the crafters added a candlestick base to their "tablescape", but I kept mine low profile.
This is a close up look at one of the little tinsel picture ornaments I made at Tami's. Next to it is a Christmas tree Karla made for me. If you look closely, behind the ornament, at the base of the tree is the letter "B".
This vintage picture in an old frame is another project made at one of Tami's crafty Christmas parties. Originally, Tami bought a stack of old photo album mats from my booth at the antique mall, and then turned around and shared them- along with embellishments with everyone at the party.
Besides crafting, Tami's parties always have great food, great drinks, and lots of laughs and friendship. You can look at more of our fun in Karla's blog post about the party.
And I will be enjoying the Christmas season just a little bit more with a mantle full of decorations that remind me of friends and fun times.
