After my post complaining about estates sales and last weekend's economy jarring boycott of sales, I wondered if I'd ever come home happy from an estate sale again.
You know how it is when you complain enough. People either stop listening to you, or they tell you to be quiet, but sometimes, just sometimes, you get your way. Well, the junking gods were listening to me and instead of say "Cripes, Beth, don't you have enough junk?", they pointed me to a sale full of vintage sewing goodness.
Two old sewing boxes and (formerly) leather covered scissor holder.
This sewing box looks like an old photo album.
But inside, it's covered in nicely worn pink velvet, with a little spot for pins and a thimble holder.
This one has an nice black laquer finish and a sweet little key.
Inside is a mirror and a lacy scissor holder...
...that lifts out for storage underneath.
I'm a happy junker because I found some fun stuff. But I'm also happy because it's so nice to be able to share the stuff I find with all you great blog friends!
