I've already packed, boxed and loaded a lot of my wares for the Old Summit Country Antique show on Saturday- but here's a peek at a few things I got this week.
Cabinet cards- of course- but one thing I like about this bunch is the backs. great graphics and COLOR.
It's too bad some idiot wrote on the back of them - did I say that out loud?
Floral hat boxes- maybe not so country, but I still like them.
An old Currier and Ives print called Little Jane- it shows it age- hard to get a picture because it has that old wavy glass.
I bought Little Jane at an auction, and the clerk must not be familiar with Currier and Ives, because on my receipt it was listed as "Korean Rice Picture". Say it out loud "Korean Rice- Currier & Ives".
Here's Little Jane with a reflection of lacy curtains across the glass.
I've got lots more good stuff, and the show always has fabulous dealers, so come on out. It's Sat, Jan 16, 9am- 4pm at the John Knox Pavillion in Lee's Summit (50 Highway & Chipman Road exit).
If you go to the show, make sure you stop by and say "Hi".
