Actually- it should be this is how to "Cuttle" as in "Cuttlebug".
When I went to Karla's for a craft day, Shawn brought her Cuttlebug. I had never noticed them before- I had always kind of written off the paper cutting machine aisle at Michael's as "too gadgety", but once I tried the Cuttlebug, I wanted my own "gadget".
The Cuttlebug will both emboss and cut.
To emboss, you just slip your paper, tag, chipboard, whatever into an embossing folder...
...and crank it through the Cuttlebug. It reminds me of a pasta maker as you turn the handle.
And a plain shipping tag gets a fancy feel.
All you have to is add a little ink to the embossed tag and add a pretty picture- this is Flower Girls from The Vintage Workshop, and you have a ready to go tag.
Besides embossing, the Cuttlebug also CUTS. Look what you can do with a handful of wallpaper scraps...
...you can turn them into a handful of tiny wallpaper tags that will make you swear as you try to tie string to them.
NOTE: I'm not a paid spokesperson for Cuttlebug, I just think they're pretty cool.
Did you notice the cute baby quilt that's under my Cuttlebug? From a church rummage sale- only $1
And the felt needle book- another $1. I love the French Knots embroidered on the needle book- wouldn't they make a fun quick gift- assuming you don't get your floss tangled when you make the French knots...
