Welcome to the Bling Your Birdhouse Party and Swap. I've posted pictures of birdhouses (and some other things) I've decorated. Make yourself at home by posting pictures of your birdhouses on your blog or Flickr site, and then leave a comment on my blog with a link back to your blog or Flickr pictures. And don't forget to come back later to check out links that partiers have added throughout the day. Make sure you visit the blog of my lovely co host Karla at Karla's Cottage to see her birdhouses ...at last count she had blinged 18 of them!!! And make sure you leave a comment and a link there.
To celebrate the party, I'll be having two giveaways:
*the NEST banner pictured above
*a wallpaper birdhouse
To enter, just leave a comment on this post- you don't have to leave a link to be entered. I'll pick two winners on Saturday morning. (Karla is having a give away, too)
First on our tour is this wallpaper subdivision. The house at the top left is the clubhouse, and there's a pool round back for all the birdies to use.
Here's a close-up view- all of these houses are new and clean, never been lived in. And the subdivision has strict rules about upkeep, no seeds on the ground, no droppings on the roofs.
The houses are well landscaped on all sides. We have professional gardeners on staff to keep everything looking looking shipshape.
All houses come with detached garages for storage of sticks, twigs, threads and other nesting supplies.
Maybe you're looking for something a little bit more earthy, not quite so flowery- this might be just the ticket.
And check out that fenced in yard.
Looking for something a little more modest? This is like the studio apartment of birdhouses. Some people wouldn't even call it a birdhouse- some people would call it a cupboard-and they maybe right....
So little birdies, where do you want to live?
Better decide quickly, because it looks like there's a run on the housing market.
I have a couple more houses to show you. This is one that I did about five years ago- gluing each one of those pearls individually- I must have been crazy.
But it did turn out pretty cool, so I decided to try another one.
Tell you what, my eyes aren't nearly as good as they were five years ago. I only got three sides of this done before I said "enough".
Thanks so much for coming to the party- and don't forget to:
- leave a link in the comments so everyone can visit your birdhouses.
- leave a comment and you're automatically entered in my birdhouse and banner drawing.
