It's amazing what a little paint & new floor can do to a room. It's also amazing that if you move 600 cubic feet of junk out of a 700 cubic foot space and only move 200 cubic feet of stuff back, how spacious the room feels. Here are some before and after pictures from my craft room redo. (I hope you can tell which are "before" & which are "after"!) The picture at the top is an "After" shelf.
I've gone back and looked at some of these before pictures, and I think I need to warn you that they are fairly graphic and disturbing. The young, elderly and faint of heart (and my Mother) may not want to continue reading or looking.
Before the redo, I did my work at a card table, and it seemed like I always had stacks and stacks of paper at my feet. I think I've avoided that problem by getting a long table, and placing it so I have shelves all around me, so hopefully all my supplies are within arms reach.
Most of the room is done in light airy colors- blue, white & the floor is faux light oak- but I do have one cabinet top display of art from my "dark period".
I was actually trying to make a political statement with this piece- something about fuddy duddy men who run the government.
But, I digress (maybe it was something I ate-har har)- back to my light & airy room- I love my vintage floral rug- a STEAL at $3.25 from an estate sale.
With all my moving, rearranging and sorting, I've put together some paper & collage packs in my Etsy shop SugarPinkMoon
I've had so much fun with the blog giveaways that I've done, that I'm going to do one too- I should have it posted Wed or Thu, and I'd love it if you'd come back to check it out!
