Last week at craft day, Karla reminded me of some Christmas gift tags I made last year with the Cuttlebug and old ornament boxes. Karla was going to make some from her boxes, but we didn't get around to it- so I made some for her.
Some vintage ornament boxes have great graphics, and I hate to throw them away, so I cut the pictures from the boxes...
...get out my Cuttlebug and Sizzix tag template.
...cut the boxes so the pictures will line up with the outline of the tags.
...crank the Cuttlebug and see what comes out.
Sometimes, it's a good idea to proof read the tags before you tie them to the package.
Case in point:
I'm pairing up the tags with some bakers twine and slipping them in a white burlap bag for a hostess gift for Karla...she's having a dinner tonight.
Want to make some tags, but don't have ornament boxes or a Cuttlebug?
I scanned some tags so you can print them on cardstock and cut them out.
Here's a full page .pdf of the ornament box tags.
I also scanned some favorite vintage wrapping papers with and without an oval templates. You can print the oval tags on cardstock, and cut out; or print the gift wrap on card stock and cut into any shape you want.
Double click on any image to open in a larger size in a new window and right click your mouse to save the image to your computer.
Also, thanks for the Etsy love- even though I've been selling things I make for quite a while, I'm still so flattered and happy when you buy something I make. Thank you.

Oh Thank you so much for all the wonderful goodies! I love what you did with the Tags they are awesome! Thanks so much for scanning them and sharing them with us.
Happy Holidays!

On behalf of those of us who are scissored challenged...I say a huge thanks!
BTW...you can attach that tag to my present! I've been known to make one of myself from time to time, so everyone will know who it goes to...no questions asked!

What a fun hostess gift. I never even heard of a Cuttlebug. We sure don't have craft supplies over here like they do in the States. I'd have to do mine the old fashioned way -- tracing and cutting. :) Have an extra special Sunday! Tammy

Great tags Beth - What a great idea to make them from old ornament boxes. That´s a great tool you have too - the Cuttlebug . Wish I had one -I cut all tags by hand :-)

hi Beth, Thanks for the wonderful tags and the vintage Christmas wrapping paper. Now all I have to do is buy the presents (why oh why do I always have to postpone everything until the last minute? Now we have heavy snow, 2 of my friends decided to celebrate their birthdays next week...) At least I don't have to worry about packaging!

Very smart, one quick Q...how does one get on your Christmas list? LOL
Thanks for sharing and have a Merry Merry Christmas

Beth,
This is one of those "why didn't I think of that?" moments, so sweet and simple! I love the graphics on the tags and thank you so much for sharing a print out. I have wondered about those Cuttlebug tools, I don't have one and thought they were more for those who like to scrapbook. Maybe I should check them out a little closer.
I adore your supplies in your shop but your handmade goodies are super delicious beautiful creations. I love my ditty bag!
Have a sweet Sunday!

Thanks for the pdfs. Count me as one of those crafters who doesn't have a Cuttlebug, either. These will come in handy as templates for me.

Beth they look fabulous.
Love the way you have put them in the burlap bag for karla. Your burlap fabric looks so soft - here in Australia I tihnk it is a coarser fabric.
Have a wonderful christmas

LOL! You're funny, Beth.
So...how do you like your cutting machine? I'm a holdout. I keep looking at them but they seem like a mystery to me so I've just kept on buying individual punches.
Hugs, Diane

Beth, what a great idea. I have a bunch of those boxes. I had hoped to sell the ornaments in them, but if they don't sell I just might put them in my cuttlebug!

Thank you so much Beth, for the holly paper. I've been looking for a holly design on old paper that looks vintage, for a very long time. You've made me very happy!

These are great! Just perfect!
What with vacation, catching up at work and trying like crazy to fill special orders and -- oh yes, do some holiday stuff -- I've been a wretched visitor. Glad to take one short quick look and hope to catch up over the holiday.
Warm wishes to you and your biker boy for a Merry Christmas!
