..or more specifically, I hate my sinuses- they are my Achilles Heel, and I've been laid low by a sinus infection. I haven't gotten much done except complain about how I feel, watch The Soprano's on DVD ( I think I was doing that in my last post, too- well, I'm still watching), and knitting on this patchwork afghan that I'm really enjoying. I think I'm liking it because I can change the yarn often, and I don't get bored- and I get to use up so many scraps.
I did make some easy Tussie Mussie cones, too- and added vintage flocked "flora and fauna."
Here's a little winter wonderland ballerina I made on a mirror. I got the idea for using the mirror from my SIL, Janie- she always decorates her house to the max for Christmas, and has a beautiful set of old, old iron or heavy metal skaters and carolers that she'd display on a mirror, like they were walking across a pond.
Of course, her display was tabletop size- mine is made from a purse pocket mirror- hey, maybe that's a new idea- Christmas ornament to decorate the inside of your purse! There aren't many areas that are still untouched by decorations.
I'll be bringing my tussies and skaters to Karla's Open House and Sale along with some other goodies:
These pins are neither Christmasy or wintery- I just liked 'em...
So, if you live outside of the United States, or on either coast, I'd suggest you start your trip NOW if you want to attend Karla's sale. It should be a good one! Hope to see you there!
