My Swap with Sis
Karla came over yesterday and brought my swap goodies that her sister put together for me. My swap with Sis started when I was going to send her some photocopies of old paper dolls and ended up with me getting a package that was like Christmas morning! It started with this beautifully decorated box and a gift bag full of sheet music and 1920's issues of Needlecraft Magazine- one of my favorites because of their great vintage drawings of clothing and linens and fun ads.
Then there were amaretto candles, soap, ropes & ropes of crystals and this beautiful necklace that Sis made.
There were just so many fun touches- photocopies of a French & English poetry book.
A CD with wind chimes.
All this clip art- some it Sis did digitally- she's a wiz with computer graphics.
Fairy Paper Dolls
A darling fairy folder that was just full of beautiful clip art.
Here I've opened it up to show two of Sis's pieces of art.
And these are phrases and sayings written on old paper with a beautiful pen- and Sis included one of the pens so I could try it on my own. The snippets are sitting on Karla's watercolor paper backgrounds.
Are you starting to think that Karla isn't the only creative person in this family? I think Sis needs her own blog to start sharing some of these great ideas!
Here's one last neat thing from Sis- and I haven't even shown half of what I got- Sis has scanned the back of postcards and printed them on cardstock- so one side is blank and you can make your own postcard! How clever is that!
Now, I've got to go make something with all these goodies. By the way Karla made some DARLING paper doll dresses while she was at my house. I hope she posts them on her blog so you can see them.

Oh wow, Beth, you hit the motherload today! What neat things Sis sent you. Can't wait to see what you make with them. I think my favorites are the pretty little scraps of old paper with sayings on them. So unique.
Hugs,
Stephanie

I really, really like the looks of the things she gave you...and can I do that post card trick? I love that!
I wouldn't mind having a windchime cd either!

I am listening to the wind chime CD she gave to me right now, it is so peaceful and pretty! What cool things she gave us both, I'm lucky to have such a wonderful sister.
And such a good friend, thanks for the nice day!

It all looks wonderful, and like things that will inspire you creatively. Not that you really need inspiring! I really like the old postcard backs, especially.
I've always been envious of pretty handwriting. Mine is awful. It's improved a lot, since the advent of computers. LOL! Thank goodness for all the nice fonts that are available. I still enjoy a nice pen though, for accents and such.
